Type of Computer Monitor

- Computer Monitor Aspect Ratio:- This is the horizontal and vertical length of the computer monitor. Like :- 16:9 or 4:5
- Computer Monitor Pixel:- A shape made up of dots is called Pixel. The number of points in a picture. The picture is equally clearly visible.
- Computer Monitor Dot Pitch:- This is the distance between pixels in each displayed picture. The shorter this distance. The image appears clearly.
- Computer Monitor Resolution:- The size of the dots is called resolution. The more these points. The image will be that clear. Resolution itself is known as Dots Per Inch. The maximum number of pixels is determined by Dot Pitch.
- Computer Monitor Size:- The size of a computer monitor is determined by the diagonal measurement of the screen.
Types Of CRT Monitor
Cathode Ray Tube:- This is a display screen. Which produces images using video signals. CRT is a type of Vacuum Tube. In which the image is formed when the electron beam hits the phosphorescent surface through electron guns. That means the vacuum tube is filled with phosphorous. Due to which an image is formed by the touch of the beam. The entire functioning of Cathode Ray Tube depends on the speed of electron beams.
The front part of CRT is called Face Plate. Which is made of Fiber Optics.
There are two types of cathode ray tubes. One Monochrome and the other CGA
Monochrome CRT:- It has Black & White Color. Which is called Monochrome or Monochrome Display Adopter. It has 80 character pen line, 24 line, no color and no graphics.
Color Graphics Adopter CRT:- Color Graphics Adopter, resolution of 320x200 or 640x350 and 16 colors.
Cathode Ray Tube was used in old computer monitors, they were large and heavy.
Nano Emissive Display
Nano Emissive Display:- This is a type of Nano Tube Technology. NED was developed by Motorola in 2005. Which was a better quality monitor than CRT. Three display technologies were combined in NED. Due to which it is also called Triple Crown. Color Phosphorous was used in this.
It has Enhanced Graphics Adopter, resolution of 640x200 & 640x350 and 16 colors.
Types Of TFT Monitor
Thin Film Transistor:- Thin Film Transistor is currently used in Notebooks, Laptops, Computers. There is one transistor for each pixel in TFT. Due to which it can be turned off and on quickly. Thin Film Transistor is known as Active Matrix Display Technology.
It has Visual / Video Graphics Adopter, resolution of 640x480, 320x200 and 16 to 256 colors.
There are three types of Thin Film Transistor Computer Monitor
- LCD (Liquid Crystal Display):- Liquid crystal made of complex molecules is used in Liquid Crystal Display Monitor. Which changes from its solid state to liquid state. Crystals are arranged in a matrix. Inside which there are crystal groups of three colors: red, green and blue. When these molecules rotate in a line in a certain direction. And reflect light. Then an image is created.
LCD Monitor Display Panel was developed by Westinghouse in Pittsburgh in 1972.
It has Super Visual/Video Graphics Adopter, resolution of 640x480 or 1024x480 and 100 to 250 colors.
- LED (Light Emitting Diode):- Semiconductor in Light Emitting Diode. Material is used. In which Indium Gallium Nitride for Blue, Green, Ultraviolet High Brightness Colors, Aluminum Gallium Indium Phosphate for Yellow, Orange, Red High Brightness Colors, Aluminum Gallium for Red, Infrared Colors, Arsenic and Gallium Phosphide for Yellow, Green Colors. Is used to. Hot filaments were used in LED. Energy bands inside the semiconductor material of LED contain electrons and holes. The photons of the energy bands determine the color of the light beam. In a Light Emitting Diode, a light beam is combined with another semiconductor. Then an image is formed.
- OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode):- This is the curved form of LED.
